Theme: War of the world-views – isms, schisms and the Great Commission’
These factors are designed to provoke one another to love. To function as prompts for us to examine our hearts and see if there be any wicked way in us. The essence of wickedness is an evil heart of unbelief. Evil and wickedness has three main sources;
- Spirit realm: satan/demons/spiritual wickedness in high places
- Internal realm: the flesh/carnal/sinful nature of human beings
- worldly realm: the world – the Spirit of this age
Highly important in discerning evil and wickedness is the eternal fact that Satan masquerades as an angel of light. Accordingly, anti-God world views can and often do sound profound, sympathetic, kind, friendly, theoretically plausible – Proverbs 1 you don’t place a trap/net where it can be seen
Similarly Biblical, gospel soul winning wisdom is foolishness to the world, the atheist, agnostic, cynic.
The cross to the natural carnal mind is gory, offensive, along with the notion that Jesus Christ crucified, buried and resurrected is the one way to God and a certain secure eternity, is so often perceived as; arrogant, bigoted and hypocritical. Along with ridiculous notions that its just a white man religion .
Today’s so called developed world writes off the spiritual, supernatural, traditional, and deceitfully communicates on the charade of factors such as the importance of the popular votes. Likewise, so much of cultural opinion revolves around popular yet highly whimsical, fanciful and idealistic theories, philosophies and ism-ish notions that lack substance, experience and truth.
