The Gratitude Omnibus

GET ON THE BUS.

This is an analogy for the purpose of explaining the Biblical truth that thanksgiving is God’s will for all of us at all times, in all things with the understanding that making all that God is, along with all He; has done, is doing, and will do our top priority in the expression of appreciation will result in the optimum taking hold of all that God has for all of us both individually and severally

Getting on the omnibus

Jesus is the door John 10, being born again John 3 a must to enter and see the kingdom bus,

John 10:7-9 Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 3 3 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

When we’re on the bus:

-1 Corinthians 1:10

10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

-1 Corinthians 1:10

10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

All that God is.

Omniscient.
God IS All knowing.

Omnipresent.

Omnibenevolent
God is perfect goodness.

The “problem" of Evil

P1a. God exists.
P1b. God is omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient.
P1c. An omnipotent being has the power to prevent that evil from coming into existence.
P1d. An omnibenevolent being would want to prevent all evils.
P1e. An omniscient being knows every way in which evils can come into existence, and knows every way in which those evils could be prevented.
P1f. A being who knows every way in which an evil can come into existence, who is able to prevent that evil from coming into existence, and who wants to do so, would prevent the existence of that evil.

P1. If there exists an omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient God, then no evil exists.

P2. Evil exists (logical contradiction).

The vast majority of Philosophers acknowledge the free will argument to have perfectly refuted the problem of evil. But what’s the scripture? God. Is. Love. 1 John 4:8 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

How does this work? God chose to make a world with people to LOVE. You cannot have love without free will. It does not work. Someone might say “aha but if God can’t do something He’s not all-powerful!” But that’s not how it works. You see power is not a measurement of overcoming absurdity, God is not the author of Confusion [1 Corinthians 14:33]. Words are important, they mean certain things. LOVE is about relationships. LOVE involves choice. We were given free wills so that we could choose to LOVE GOD. God being omniscient knew there would be people who denied Him. He knew humanity would fall, But, in his great wisdom and judgment, he determined that it was worth it. I am eternally grateful. He knew there would be those who would repent, turn to Him and receive eternal life, receive the eternal loving relationship with the father. Some might reply, why didn’t he do that and make sure everyone he made would love him? Hmmmmmmmm? I would reply, we don’t know the consequences of that!? We can’t even project the consequences of minuscule changes (peanut allergy example), let alone changing the entire makeup of the universe. We’re simply not in the place to say we could do it any better. To even think that is flagrant arrogance.

Romans 5:1-5

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

All there is to Calvary

1 Corinthians 15:1-8

Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
