Get a mega vibe in your tribe #1
Theme: Mega Vibe in our tribe
We are building on our July "In Series" which was all about being in the crowd knowing that having a heart for heaven is to have a heart for crowds.
From acts 2, the birth of the Church, to the cinematic scenes in Revelation, we can sum the Church vibe up in the word: Exuberant - to the point of appearing to the public perception as significantly intoxicated.
It is one thing to be in the crowd it is another thing to engage with, contribute to, and be at home in the crowd. Getting to a place where we are wholeheartedly outworking these three factors in a “being transformed by being Church” lifestyle means we will have a mega vibe in our tribe.
Topic: Key of David
Intro: Open and shut case for creative gatherings
King David, described in God’s word as a man after God’s own heart, was a man who was all about crowds. He built a whole city for the purpose of gathering massive crowds together. It was so awesome Israels enemies fled in fear. David had high standards of excellence as he wanted to bring great glory to God through generating a mega vibe in the tribe.
So when it comes to the key of David I am proposing the purpose of this key is to gather, to gather unto the Lord.
Key references
New Testament - Revelation 3:7
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth
Old Testament - Isaiah 22:22
I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.
Open doors with significant opposition
What keys are used for?
Doors, gates, and windows.
John 10:9-16 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.
Ezekiel 44:1-3 Then the man brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary, the one facing east, and it was shut. The Lord said to me, “This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered through it. The prince himself is the only one who may sit inside the gateway to eat in the presence of the Lord. He is to enter by way of the portico of the gateway and go out the same way.”
Psalm 24:-7-9
"Fling wide the gates, open the ancient doors, and the great king will come in. Who is this king of Glory? He is the Lord God Almighty, the lord victorious in battle. Fling wide the gates, open the ancient doors, the king of glory will come in”
Malachai 3:10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
