WHAT IS A BOND?
Dictionary
- A Thing used to tie or fasten something together
- Physical Restraints to hold someone or something prisoner
- A Force or Feeling that unites people
- An agreement with legal force
DIFFERENT TYPES OF BONDS
- Financial Bonds (most common use of word today)
- Bonds that Restrict
- Bonds that connect.

THE BONDS OF ROYAL COVENANT
A. THE CONNECTION
- Because of His royal covenant with us, we are UNITED with CHRIST.
B. THE ENIGMA
Our bonds set us free
"And this is my covenant with them, that I will take away their sins." - Romans 11:27
C. OUR BOND COMES WITH A DEPOSIT
The Guarantee of this bond is the HOLY SPIRIT who’s fire brings the unity.
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory. - Ephesians 1:13-14
D. OUR BOND WITH CHRIST CANNOT BE ANNULLED
Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. - Galatians 3:15-18
E. OUR BOND IS BACKED BY THE HIGHEST AUTHORITY
"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. - Matthew 28:18-20
