#BLESSED

Phil encouraged us last week to make the determination:

“Disciple me to be someone who can carry your glory”

He encouraged us to engage in 5 facets of discipleship - does anyone remember these?
He encouraged us to be children of the day, to expose things of the world and flesh so we can know fullness of glory.
He encouraged us to be Berean and dig into the Berean notes, specifically the word and reference study he provided. Did anyone do this?

One of the things that I’ve been doing this week has been going through the gospel of John, just a chapter each day, doing this in support of one of our disciples whose discipleship requires some spoon feeding at the moment. So we’re walking with him each day to instill a lifestyle of being in the word.

A couple of the stand out factors for me in our recent reading have been;

John 5 - “Do you want to be made well?”

John 7:14 - “And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?” —>

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.””

SOUL PROSPERITY

THE JOY OF THE WHOLE EARTH

3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.”

Psalm 35:27 “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”
