SEPARATION

Matthew 10:34-39 - Jesus came to bring separation.

34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ 37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Holy in Hebrew comes from the word Separate.

- For this is what the high and lofty One says - he who lives forever, whose name is holy (Isaiah 57:15).
- Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed (Revelation 15:4).

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 - BE SEPARATE
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”
17 Therefore
“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”
18 “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.”

How does this relate to our Net Prophet Theme?

SEPARATION OF THE FISH

Once you’ve become a fisher of men, once you’ve cast the net, once you’ve gathered the net, you’ve got to separate the fish.

Matthew 13:57-50
47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, 48 which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, 50 and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Side Note, who said Jesus didn’t talk about hell eh?

- THERE WILL BE GOOD FISH AND THERE WILL BE BAD FISH, THEY GET SEPARATED AT THE END

Matthew 13:24-30
24 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

- THE GOOD

We are ONLY made good by the righteousness of Christ. By the Blood of the lamb. By putting our faith In HIM. By Being His DISCIPLES.

- THE BAD

Literally every single person until they become a disciple of JESUS.

SEPARATE THE GOOD FROM THE BAD IN EACH FISH

When you catch a fish, there are parts you want, and parts you don’t want. We need to cut away the scales, get out the guts and remove the bones from those fish.

This transformation process is KEY. I believe It’s one of the biggest lacking areas in the American church today. Churches often turn toward people-pleasing and even celebrating the bad parts of the fish. you may have heard the analogy “don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater” but that same phrase can be adjusted for this problem too, don’t be so protective of the baby you’re too afraid to let the dirty bathwater out!! What’s the point in giving a baby a bath if you’re going to just let him sit in the dirty, filthy water you just cleaned off him? The point in cleaning a baby is to get him FREE of that dirt, so you can take him away from that dirt, so that he can continue to live his awesome little life, no longer at risk of the consequences of being unclean.

Here at Megamorphic, we believe in transformation. We believe that we are vessels God uses to bring about transformation in each other’s lives. Jesus said “GO TO YOUR BROTHER IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH HIM”

Keys to transformation

- HEBREWS 12: NO CONFRONTATION, NO TRANSFORMATION

- 2 CORINTHIANS 3:18: YOU BECOME WHAT YOU BEHOLD

- ROMANS 12 - YOUR MIND NEEDS RENEWAL, BE HOLY (SEPARATE) not conformed to the world.

THE SEPARATION IS BETWEEN REWARDS AND REPRIMAND

The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations
Matthew 25:31-46
31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

- I mentioned earlier the difference between the Good and the Bad fish, this one (Using sheep and goats) shows us the destiny of each option.

The Rewards

- 2 Corinthians 3

9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. 16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
